Hey sports fans, we've got a new contest for you this afternoon, sponsored by the folks at Gillette. Essentially, you'll square off in one of the big five EA Sports titles from this year (Madden NFL 09, NBA Live 09, NASCAR 09, FIFA Soccer 09, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09) on Xbox Live. By simply getting in on the action, you have a chance to win our two titles, but if you manage to do well in the games, you have a chance for the big prize.
Running to December 28th, there are qualifying rounds to help you show off your gaming skills. If you win, you'll jump in on the "Knock-out Round" from January 4th to January 11th 2009. Win that? Yea, EA and Gillette will be flying you out to a Worldwide competition in February of 2009 in Orlando Florida!
The tournaments are open to North America, Asia, and Europe, and winners will be selected from each of the three regions. Oh, not cool enough yet? Try this on. The winners will also get the chance to square off against the Gillette Champions: Tiger Woods, Derek Jeter, Thierry Henry, Denny Hamlin, and Roger Federer!
Weekly winners can pick up a Gillette razor and a 3 month Live subscription, as well as a chance as a Gillette shave kit, a copy of EA’s FaceBreaker, a 12-month Gold subscription, and 1,600 MS Points. Oh, and in addition to being flown to Orlando, the finalists will get a shave kit, 3 EA Sports games, a 12-month Gold subscription, and 4,000 MS Points. Yea...it's that awesome.
Even if you don't have the skills to compete with the big dogs, shoot me a note that you are on the leaderboard (I don't care if you are dead last in the world, but I will check) and you'll automatically be entered for a chance to win a copy of Tiger Woods 09 or EA Soccer 09 for the Xbox 360.
