I bought Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden on Friday. It said you could play three days early with pre-order and it was unlocked when I got home from work Friday. I finished it earlier this afternoon. it took about 15 hours and it was a light tactical combat game with some interesting new ideas, but it's nothing I will play again. The search for a new turn based tactical combat game continues.

... and so I'm looking forward to checking out Jagged Alliance: RAGE. I'll be out of town the 6th and 7th so I guess I'll have time to see what others think of it before I pick it up.

I'm tempted to pick Katamari Damacy Reroll for the switch. I thought the original was very cool. I think the kids might enjoy it.

I've got Just Cause 4 pre-ordered (please don't suck) and will be getting the first DLC for AC Odyssey as part of the season pass I can't believe I paid for. And I'll be watching for JA Rage impressions, but I'm not that optimistic.

I also have Just Cause 4 preordered, hoping for the best.

I loved the demo for Grapple Force Rena so will likely pick that up as well.

I'm waiting to pre-order Just Cause 4, hoping some reviews hit tomorrow, but I may not wait for them.

I'll be getting the AC:Od DLC, even though I haven't even started the game yet (taking much longer to finish AC Origins than I thought)

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is free with GamePass, I believe, so I'll be giving that a go.

And I'm curious about Jagged Alliance: Rage!

Ooh, I didn't realize that. I'd hope that they get some pretty good exposure from that, I feel like otherwise it would be pretty easy for that game to kind of fall by the wayside.

I'd wait for some reviews. Steam forum posts by folks who got the 24 hours early release are pointing out a lot of crashes. I'm getting my pre-order unlocked tomorrow at 12:01 pm EST and plan on posting impressions over on OO, but I'll also post a summary or two here.

So I got Just Cause 4 today and have put in about 6.4 hours so far. No crashes and so far it's pretty fun, but with some reservations. For more details, check out this thread over on OO.

I saw the reviews and they were about as positive as JC reviews get (this serious is notorious for wonky things happening, but it kinda gets a pass because of the usual insanity of their open world). I was a little nervous pulling the trigger before console reviews hit, but I didn't want to miss the discount I'd found, so I picked it up.

I only had about an hour to play today, but I immediately felt comfortable zipping around in a way that seemed to be missing in the last game.

Little B 9.9 somehow convinced me to buy Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

I’ve never played a Smash Bros game before, and after 30 minutes, don’t have even the faintest clue wtf is happening in this game.

A few surprise releases came out of the Game Awards on Thursday. Ashen is out on XBox One (and available as part of Gamepass) and Supergiant's (Bastion, Transistor, Pyre) new game Hades is out in early access on the Epic Games store.
