What is a good HDD lately? I have my OS on an SSD and my games and data on an old school HDD that is about 5 years old now. It is getting full (only 1 TB) and I fear it will fail in the near future. I'm ready to replace it with a new 2 TB HDD but have no idea what is good these days.

some I've been looking at...........
WD Black - $125
Seagate 2.5" barracuda 128 mb cache $100
HGST - I hear is good....
Toshiba - models DT01ACA200 and HDKPC09 I've heard good things about
Seagate firecuda SSHD - $105 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IEKG2HM/ref=twister_B01IK587OC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The new seagate Firecuda SSHD seems pretty cool....faster than HDD and since I will store games on it....I like the idea of that.

Any recommendations? I'm out of touch with the HDD market lately.

I'd just go with a standard HDD for Data / Games. Most of a games files exceed the cache size on a SSHD. I actually just keep most of my games on a WD 4TB Green drive and the ones I play often on a regular SSD.
