SInce they do them from time to time how about if we just put news in one thread?

Anyway today they had one. here is a Polygon roundup

Some good looking stuff unfortunately nothing coming out anytime soon. I am rather sad that Dragon Quest 8 is being delayed until 2017. I was quite looking forward to it.

Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, the portable version of the Wii U game let players create and play their own Mario levels in the style of Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. Players will be able to share their Mario creations via local wireless and StreetPass, but players won't be able to upload them to the internet for others to play.

I think they kind of missed the point on that one.

I'm curious to see how 3DS Pikmin turns out though.

As I watched it I remembered Lemmings. A bunch of small creatures you command who can do different types of tasks all to get to a goal....

It was nice to see Nintendo feature Dragon Quest VII (two more weeks ) and Ever Oasis, but the best part is that they released Picross 3D Round 2 after the presentation. It's a little pricey at $30, but it's well worth it.

One thing I was struck by was the lack of anything the rest of the year - well except for the huge one (Pokemon.) I wish there would have been something I could be excited about buying.

I suspect they're hording releases for the NX at this point.

You know, I might buy that if they had shown that kind of thoughtful planning with the Wii U, or New 3ds, etc. Really they just sometimes seem dumb in these big decisions.

They keep talking about how they learned the necessary lessons from the Wii U. I feel like Reggie says a variation on this any time anyone asks him a question about anything.

But we'll see. If the NX really is trying to compete with the mobile market, I think they're shooting themselves in the foot right out of the gate, but we'll see.

Doesn't mean they're not holding releases until the big reveal, though. And it definitely feels like they've given up on the Wii U (and are on the road to the same with the 3DS).

Paper Mario: Color Splash is probably the last hurrah for the WiiU this year, at least in terms of first party support. There are a couple indie titles to look forward to if the WiiU is your only console but most of them have multi-platform releases.
